An Introduction & Definition

After an inspiring career development class at my current job at a Boston-based media & publishing company, I have decided to jump in and start something new that will hopefully lead to an online or store-front business.  I've always loved fashion, art, style- anything that is creative and allows me to show myself to the world. I started a personal blog 4 years ago because of this. While I've loved building that blog's content & audience, & met some great people along the way, I find myself wanting more from a career/business standpoint.  I've always thought about owning my own business, and at this class today, we were asked to close our eyes and envision our career's future. What did I see?

 

-Walking to work on sunny day.

-Entering a shop that smells & looks good, full of things I love and would want to own.

-Being happy.

-Leaving satisfied and going home to a family.

 

So here it goes. Welcome to the future Curated's blog, A Curated Blog. By definition, curated is:

• to take charge of or organize.
• to pull together, sift through, and select for presentation.

 

So I want to do just that. Gather and share my favorite things from style, home decor, entertaining, etc.  You'll find it all here, seperated by type, and hopefully someday, be able to purchase.
